I am Dr. Leopoldo Maizo, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in advanced hip and knee reconstruction. My practice is built on a foundation of evidence-based medicine, continuous education, and a deeply human approach to patient care.
As CEO of Grupo Maizo and Chief of Advanced Neurosurgery and Traumatology Service at Grupo Médico Santa Paula, I have dedicated my career to mastering minimally invasive techniques, including the Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) for hip replacement, which allows for faster recovery and improved outcomes.
My international recognition includes published scientific articles on the Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) for hip surgery and awards from the Spanish Society of Traumatology for pioneering research in wrist pain terminology. I am an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and currently serve as Vice President of SIISDET Venezuela.
